Redesign - conceptualisation
Redesign is a project of a fictional website for purchasing antique or second-hand furniture. I myself am a fan of everything vintage, so the main concept focuses on this theme. People who care about stylish home decor and for whom aesthetics are important will be more willing to visit a website that also meets these criteria. For this reason, and following the principles of user-centered design, I have created a website design that would be easy and intuitive to navigate, but also visually pleasing.
Designing
I started the design process directly in Figma. The chosen leading colors, shades of orange and beige, as well as rounded shapes, evoke the 1950s era, but on the other hand, the arrangement of elements and navigation have a more minimalist character.

My inspiration was drawn from photographs of luxurious interiors from the 1950s
Website structure
The website features a horizontal navigation bar with pages such as: favorites, about us, login, and cart. On the landing page, you will also find several most frequently visited categories. As you scroll down, additional categories are displayed. On the page of a specific product, breadcrumbs are placed so that the user can navigate the site more easily.
